New York City residents who are looking to purchase their first home may qualify for an affordable housing lottery that has opened for the sale of 11 two- and three-family homes in the neighborhoods of Bed Stuy and Crown Heights. The lottery is specifically designed for first-time homebuyers with income restrictions.

This affordable housing lottery is part of the city's ongoing efforts to increase access to affordable homeownership for New Yorkers. In recent years, the city has launched several other affordable housing lotteries, including one for 125 affordable apartments in East New York and another for 22 apartments in Greenpoint.
