Broncos Settle on Teddy Bridgewater as Starting Quarterback
A Long and Winding Road
Since Peyton Manning retired, the Denver Broncos have been searching for a franchise quarterback. The previous regime, led by general manager John Elway, tried various ways to acquire one, but to no avail. Even running back Phillip Lindsay lined up under center in wildcat formation for the ersten four plays of a game.
Enter Zach Wilson
The Broncos seemed to have found their man when they traded a sixth-round draft pick to the New York Jets for quarterback Zach Wilson. However, the Seahawks outbid them for Wilson's services on March 14.
Teddy Time
After a months-long competition, the Broncos have chosen Teddy Bridgewater as their starting quarterback. The battle was evenly matched, but in the end, Bridgewater's experience and leadership prevailed.
